Raven Tattoos Bethesda

Raven has done quite a few tattoos for me by now, and I definitely owe her a review, so here it goes. She's an extremely talented artist and takes her work very seriously, making every effort to get it perfect for her clients. She always goes above and beyond to be sure the design, coloring, and overall look is as close to what is requested as possible. She's very personable, and she will work with you on design ideas, no matter how wild or simple, and always strives to make everything match the ideas in every way. Raven has very reasonable rates, is very responsive when you reach out to her, taking anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or two to answer, depending on whether she's with a client at the time. She is always very pleasant to speak with while she's working her magic, to help pass the time, and every visit to her shop leaves me with satisfaction and has me asking her when her next available appointment is! I live in NW DC, and it's close to an hour on the bus/train and walking to get to her, but it's 100% worth it, every time!! I have tattoo shops within a 10 min walk, but my loyalty to this amazing artist will always have me coming back for more, as I have so many more pieces I want to get!! I have gotten so many compliments on my tattoos done by her, and I tell everyone to go see Raven in Bethesda because she will take care of them just like she did for me!! No matter how intricate or simple, she has been happy to create everything I've come up with, and has a soft spot for Salvador Dali by the way! Her shop is very clean, and all her needles are single use. She will also show you every needle she uses so you can see they are fresh and still in sealed packages. My wife and I went to Raven for our first tattoos. I cannot recommend her enough. She was so responsive via text and so patient with our beginner questions. When the day came, she was ready right on time and walked us through the whole process. She is great to talk to too. Her shop is not the fanciest but she definitely keeps it clean and sanitary. She explains the safety and hygiene measures she undertakes and everything is transparent and verifiable. Since the first one, both my wife and I have gone back to her for other tattoos. I am in the process of getting a sleeve (or near enough to one) and I will go back to Raven for all of it. All of my tattoos have healed beautifully and she’s been available for my aftercare questions. I am taking a break for summer because I don’t want any new tattoos while I am in the pool and on vacation. I am still working with Raven to design the rest of my arm piece(s) though. She’s so fun to work with and is such a talented artist. She has some awesome ideas which is even more impressive considering how terrible of an artist I am. Her ability to synthesize my fevered ramblings and toddler-like drawings into good art is remarkable. So far my tattoos are pretty simple but even those look great because of her excellent line and shading work. I cannot wait for fall to go back in and get more done. You

I had the most amazing experience here and truly believe this artist is one of a kind. We took about 40 minutes just to sit down together, sketch ideas, and make the design as personal and original as possible. She listened carefully, gave thoughtful advice, and made sure every detail reflected what I had in mind. You can tell right away that the studio belongs to a true artist, her own drawings are displayed, and the whole space radiates creativity and attention to detail. During the tattoo process itself, she was incredibly respectful, kind, and patient. I got a tattoo on my neck, and to my surprise it didn’t hurt at all because of how skilled she is. Beyond her talent, she’s such a genuine and human person, someone who listens, guides you if you’re unsure, and makes you feel comfortable the entire time. On top of all this, her prices are amazing for the quality she offers. Honestly, it was a beautiful experience from start to finish. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking not just for a tattoo, but for art and authenticity. A true professional and a true artist.
