True Gloom Tattoo Studio

I started going to True Gloom when my regular artist became a resident there. The energy and decor are unmatched, the staff is so friendly, and everything feels clean and safe. Dylan is fantastic—super easy to work with and very informative about custom work and pricing. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

I’ve been tattooed at this shop by Madeline Brown several times and I have nothing negative to say about her! If you’re looking for an artist that will listen to your ideas and turn them into beautiful artwork you should definitely check out Madeline!! She is so creative and will definitely create a tattoo that is unique for you and that you will love forever. Most recently I had an upper back piece done by her around an existing tattoo (not done by her) and it was an amazing experience! We had a consult appointment where she asked for my ideas and how I expected the tattoo to look and she was very attentive to what I was looking for. At my first appointment she took her time placing the stencil and making sure it was perfect, even hand drawing some of the details to make sure they lined up. You will definitely not regret making an appointment with her! I will attach pictures of some of the work she has done on me. Madeline is definitely one of the best tattoo artists in Buffalo!!

I have many tattoos from Carley- I think at least ten now! This shop feels like home to me. Everyone here is sweet, kind, and talented. I also have permanent jewelry from Mel which I adore. I get compliments all day on both my jewelry when visible and my tattoos, and I really owe it to this shop for seeing the vision of what I want, and applying it to me. All the other artists are talented too, and I’m looking forward to getting work done from them in the future as well! I also have some art in my home from Graham, Carley, and Jess, as well as some merch which is all super comfortable. If there’s a service they provide, they give it 110% every time.
