Thick As Thieves

Mike Pinto designed and tattooed a lower leg sleeve of a deity often depicted in Indonesian Hindu imagery. I live near Houston but I saw Mike featured in a magazine article (I think it was in Westword or Rooster). I had been wanting this tattoo for a long time and had flipped through many artist's portfolios in my search for the person that had the right style and was knowledgeable about the subject matter. I also needed this person to be experienced enough to cover up a tattoo of a snake on my calf which was about 6-8" long. After seeing some of his stuff and reading his answers to the interview questions, I called Thick as Thieves and scheduled a consult. I can't explain why exactly but, upon meeting Mike in person, I was less convinced he was the guy but he took a stencil and traced my leg and took photos and I put down a deposit. A few weeks later, the stencil was done and he called me in to check it out. I was blown away at how perfect the drawing was and, after 5 or 6 months and 5 trips to Denver from Houston, I had the tattoo I wanted forever and it was ten times better than I ever imagined it to be. Mike is a phenomenal artist and a fundamentally sound tattooer with solid technical ability. His line work is on point and his color is saturated. He is a professional and he knows how to put tattoos in skin that stand the test of time. My experience with Mike Pinto was as good as it gets. I am 100% satisfied with the work he did and I enjoyed the time I spent on his table and at Thick as Thieves.

I absolutely love this shop! I have gotten ten plus tattoos from Aldo (@stencilmaestro) and I highly recommend going to see him. He is a super talented artist and a great person. He is always very professional and works with you on the design so you get exactly what you want. He goes above and beyond on detailing his tattoos, it's obvious he loves what he does, not to mention it's all original work. Go check him out, you won't be disappointed!

This is the second time my family and I have received tattoos from Thick as Thieves. So happy with their work! Very professional and helped develop our ideals. Gonna keep going back for more!
