Ink & Dagger is a wonderful, welcoming shop filled with the nicest, most talented artists and staff. You feel welcomed before you even walk in the door for your first consultation. The quality of work is so good that I'm now getting getting my older tats touched-up or covered-up completely to avoid looking inferior. You know you've chosen a great shop when every artist is working on clients no matter when you shop up. Artist Mel Perlman designed and inked this beautiful tribute to my Ukrainian roots while also covering up two tattoos from the 1980s. Her sense for colors and design is tops. I trust her completely with her choices. Artist Mark Kalinskiy recently created this amazing collage of Al Hirschfeld caricatures of Laurel & Hardy, Groucho Marx, Buster Keaton, and Charlie Chaplin. He completely understood what I was looking for after our consult, and he surpassed my expectations putting it all together. (I'm now trying to come up with more ideas for another piece by him)

I got my first half sleeve from Mel Perlman a few years ago when she was still working in Florida (photo attached). Now I'm driving to/from Tampa to Atlanta for her to do my right sleeve. Obviously, I love her work. It's bright, eye-catching, and creative. She took my ideas and designed something beyond my expectations. She has no problem making changes even after you get the stencil on. One session, we were pretty quiet and in our own heads. While another we were super chatty for 5+ hours. I appreciate that she could engage with me in both moods cause my energy really depends on how physically intense the session is. If she still lived in FL, I'd be a more regular client, but she's also worth the trip up. Don't question setting up a consultation/session with her!

I have been tattooed many times at Ink and Dagger and I highly recommend this location. I have been getting tattooed by Mel Perlman for the past year, and it's been such an amazing experience that I already have 5 of her tattoos. Three of her fabulous flash and two custom tattoos. She is currently designing a sleeve that flows through the four seasons. She did part 1 recently and completely knocked it out of the park. I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend checking out her flash or inquiring about a custom tattoo. Not only is she a great artist, she is a wonderful person to chat with while you are getting your tattoo!
