I was nervous before getting my first tattoo, but Pierre answered all of my questions and totally reassured me. The process went as smoothly as I could have hoped for. Pierre explained every step during the appointment and his technique for aftercare was so easy and relieved any concerns I had. To say the least I was absolutely thrilled with my tattoo! In the last six months I have added eight more tattoos on my arm and have been just as happy with each one. Pierre faced a variety of skin types ranging from extremely thin sun damaged forearm skin to thicker more muscled upper arm skin to the more sensitive skin on my inner arms and joints and made the necessary adjustments for a fantastic result each time. When discussing the designs for each tattoo we'd usually begin with me being pretty certain exactly what I wanted. But every time Pierre was able to draw from his experience with suggestions and tips that made each one a beautiful result and that fit perfectly in it's location. I now call my arm my 'biography' with tributes to places I've lived, sports I've enjoyed and jobs I've had. Pierre at American Tattoo is an absolute pro and I happily give him my highest recommendation.

Love this shop!!! My wife and I went on a day trip to SD and got tattoos by Pierre. He is an amazing artist. He has done it all! From small tattoos to big pieces. Wouldn’t trust anyone else to do that. He really does amazing work! 10/10 recommend 👏🏻❤️

Ray is very amazing, I’ve been going to him for all of my tattoos so i recommend to anyone going anywhere for a tattoo that they should come to American Tattoo’s San Diego. His customer service is like having another brother, I love everyone here and i would like to see more people come by and show love to him and his work.
