My friends and i called at like 4:00pm and were told to come in. We showed up at 6:00 pm when they closed at 7:00 and were still greeted with kindness. We each got three unique tattoos for fair pricing. The professionalism, talent and patience was incredible. I will go back next time I'm in town. And .. the signed Doug Bradly head shot and clarice moth were just icing on the cake for me.
I was a repeat client for Chuck, for over three years and invested a significant amount of money, which is why this experience was both frustrating and unexpected. Prior to this, my tattoos were done on a pay-per-session basis, so I was surprised when I was required to pay $1,500 upfront for a multi-session cover-up. After the first session, it was clear the design and placement did not flow with the rest of my sleeve, and the original tattoo was still visibly showing through. The piece looked heavy and unbalanced compared to my existing ink. I gave it a couple days to settle, as I normally do, but ultimately decided I was not comfortable continuing with the remaining three sessions. When I expressed this to Chuck and requested a partial refund for the unfinished portion, I was repeatedly told to “trust the process” rather than having my concerns addressed — even after I explicitly withdrew consent to continue. He initially cited a no-refund policy (which would be understandable if the full service had been completed), then offered store credit (which was useless to me since I don’t feel comfortable returning after how he handled this situation), and finally proposed a cash-only in-person arrangement during a VERY narrow time window. I am now seeking laser removal and corrective work for a tattoo that was intended to be a cover-up. If you’re considering large-scale work, cover-ups, or paying in full upfront, I strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions, get everything in writing, and make sure you feel completely heard before proceeding. *** EDIT: *** I provided images so that anybody with a working set of eyes, can see how much of an eyesore this blob of ink idea of his is looking on my sleeve. I did not leave my first session, “satisfied”. My reaction was neutral at best. Chuck himself, pointed out that there were still legs from the original tattoo showing through and said it was something he would "figure out later." Should’ve been something that was figured out wayyy before the needle touched my skin, but I digress. Holding onto MY hard earned money for tattoo sessions that never took place despite this project being planned as multiple sessions is unjustifiable and raises serious concerns about this studio’s business practices. Rocking long sleeves until it’s entirely lasered away.
Shannon did an amazing job, she is super professional and very comfortable at the same time. She’s definitely very attentive and knows anatomy well when it comes to piercing. Was very scared when i walked in but she did such a great job i will be coming back for my future piercings.
