I came in for a haircut/style with master stylist/specialist Lorna. I always book with a “master” stylist since they have the most experience and longevity. I asked Lorna for a medium to long layered cut, with lots of soft feathered layers. Curtain bangs that are long, wispy, and blended into the sides…not blunt. I showed her inspo pics as well. Lorna proceeded to give me the the worst haircut I have ever gotten in my entire life. My hair was uneven, choppy, and the layers looked like Tetris blocks. I have terrible vision, and wear glasses. I had my glasses off during the haircut. I should’ve checked before she proceeded to curl my hair, that’s on me. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until the next day I washed my hair and did my own blow out, that I realized how BOTCHED my hair was. I will never go to another Aveda Salon if this is the service their “master” stylists offer. I had to go to another hair stylist in order to get my hair fixed. That stylist thought I had gone to someone who had never cut hair in their life. Proceed with caution when booking with Lorna at this location.

I was in a bit of a bind as my hairdresser from another salon cancelled my appointment and I needed a haircut and color work prior to an important business trip.i called Nurtur on Lane Avenue on a Sunday and had a color and cut consultation with Madalyn just hours later. She asked many great questions to learn about my hair and what I was looking for. What was even better is she was able to schedule me for these services the next evening, just in time for my trip the next day. She did a great job planning what she thought would work best for me given my objectives of hiding my greys in a more natural way, and freshening up my hair style that I was tired of. She explained everything she planned to do, and answered all my questions. She was super pleasant throughout my appointment and I love my new look. I had several compliments as I was leaving the salon. I will definitely come back to see Madalyn as she did a great job.

I really like Maddie. She's knowledgable and funny, always showing attention to the hospitality side of her job as well. (She will top off the Aveda tea so it stays hot while your color processes- things like this). I've been a client for years and their staff is great, they have great products that won't damage your hair, and the atmosphere is comfortable.
