Chameleon Tattoo

My experience with Dee and Chameleon has been great. My first appointment was in December, and I had a very strict budget and a very specific concept I wanted. Rather than letting me do a walk-in appointment and come out with something less than exceptional, Avi and Dee made sure I came in for a consultation that day instead, and a couple weeks later I got to come back to some INCREDIBLE art that Dee put together for me. I was glad Avi recognized the need to slow down the process and asked specific questions about scarring that I had to make sure what I wanted was possible and wouldn’t pose a health or safety risk for me. After speaking with Dee at my consultation I felt so comfortable that she understood what I wanted, I ended up giving her free rein on my concept. It was the best choice I could have made. THE ART WAS INCREDIBLE. Walking in for my appointment for my first tattoo, I was expecting to have to make some edits and reschedule my time - as Dee mentioned might happen if I wasn’t in love with the design. She made me two amazing designs- one which I got tattooed the day of my appointment and one I will be coming back in to get tattooed at a later date (it was so hard to choose. They were PHENOMENAL). My appointment went so smoothly- thanks to the time my artist and folks at the shop took to talk this anxious girlie through her first appointment. They were welcoming, kind, and the vibe was low key and calm. Dee got me set up and talked me through every step in the process. I was able to sit for the whole tattoo that day, take breaks as needed and eat snacks I brought and come out with something I could never have imagined. While I don’t plan to post my tattoos online, I wish I could better describe just how amazing it is. Dee is exceptionally skilled- her line work is beautiful, her vision for color and shading was awesome, and her art is just generally amazing. I highly recommend Chameleon, and Dee (if her art is your style), or one of their many other artists. I cannot say enough good things about them.

I have been going to the Chameleon to get pierced since 2000. An amazing jewelry selection with very knowledgable and personable staff! Owen and Darcy are the piercers on staff and I wouldn't trust anyone else. They are the best — calm, knowledge and always happy to chat about what you'd like to do. Appointments can only be made in person; a bit challenging for those who don't live near but well worth the extra work to be pierced by those who have worked in the industry and know it inside and out. Also the Harvard Square location is super cool — lots of fun places to eat and walk around.
